At Bouldercombe State School, our homework policy is designed to consolidate the knowledge and skills explicitly taught in class. Our primary focus is on fostering strong reading habits and skills. There is no formal homework assigned each week in the lower years with upper years being assigned a range of purposeful homework, reinforcing classroom learning, and providing opportunities for students to practise and apply what they have learned. We believe that consistent reading at home plays a crucial role in enhancing students' literacy and overall academic success. We appreciate your support in encouraging and assisting your child with their homework, ensuring they establish a routine that prioritises their educational growth.
